昨日とは一転して、アカマタ、６フィートでファイア〜

天気も曇り時々雨、風ももろ北東のタイフーンウインドが絡んできた。

午後のフライト欠航が気になるが、何よりもこのラストセッションに望んで行った。

Akamata was on fire today~~~

Weather was cloudy partly rainy and wind was north east.

Getting curious about the flight but lets enjoy our last session here.

更なるサイズアップを予想して、８のガンで望んだキヨシ。

最初はタイミングが合わず、ディープポジションでのワイプアウトが続いたが、

セッション後半、素晴らしいライドを見せ付けて来た。

更に先にカメラ部隊が上がってから、渾身の一発を決め、最高のアカマタメモリーを作った。

Kiyoshi challenged this wave with 8” gun.

Wiped out many times because of his deep take off position but

showed us one wonderful ride on the last half of the session.

Also, he rode one more nice shot after the photograph team backed out.

もう１５年以上も前に初めてアカマタをサーフしてからは、

年に数度のアカマタ巡礼が始まったサトル君。

最近は沖縄名菓／タンナファクルの仕事に従事し忙しい身だが、

アカマタデイにはしっかりとピークに身を置いて居た。

After Satoru surfed at Akamata for his first time,

he started visiting here few times a year.

He’s getting busy on his job making tannafakuru but

made his self to this lovely peak.

予想では昨日の夕方がこれくらいで、今日はクレージー１０フットをイメージしていたが、

台風の発生の位置、成長過程が近すぎたため、最接近してからようやくスエルが届き、

同時にタイフーンウインドも絡んできた。

しかしスエルディレクションは良くて、バレルもメイカブルで、

ストーミー前のワンセッションを何とかメイクすることができた。

We were imaging  a 10 ft over but

Typhoon’s generating point was too near and swell came too late .

But swell condition was nice, barrels were makable so

we made through this stormy condition.

確かテッタとは２度アカマタをやりに来た事がある。

最初のトリップは今までのアカマタセッションでもベストを思われる日に遭遇し、

２度目のトリップではもろ台風直撃を喰らい、民宿でスタックしたこともあった。

I remember I went through Akamata session with Tetta twice.

First time was in best condition and

we got stuck at a guest house for our twice time because of the typhoon.

Good to see this hole line up again~~
