海部デイー２は予想通り、４〜６ftで朝一からファイア〜〜
小潮回りなので朝一が干いており、風も緩く、川からのオフショアで、
コンディションはゴージャス〜〜
サイズは徐々にカミングアップし、朝二からは北東のサイドショアが絡みだし、
潮も上げだすと一旦シェティコンディションとなってしまったが、
夕方、風が凪ぎだすと更にモンスターセットが来る様になり、
いよいよビッグ海部デイと化していった〜〜
Day 2 in Kaifu~~ Going on fire with 4~6 ft~~~
Tide was low in the morning and condition was mild wind with offshore from the river~~
Size was rising bit by bit and north east side shore started to fill in so
condition got shitty for once but after wind filled in from evening session,
monster sets started come into Kaifu~~
朝一のモーニングライトにリップカールラインが照らし出され、
サーファーを包み込んでいく。
朝一はすっかり秋モードで結構冷え込む。
Rip curl line lighten up by the morning light.
Pretty chilly down here in Shikoku.
Tadasuke Nakano
結婚し一児のパパとなったターボーバブ〜〜
山師の仕事に従事しながら、ボードシェイプにも携わっている。

Masahiro Ueda
ハヤシケンタ、マヤグチカオリというグランドチャンプを初めて西日本から輩出し、
今もニシブラザーズを初め若手育成に力を注いでいる、
アイランドパラダイス総帥のウエダマサヒロ氏。
Masahiro Ueda is now like a trainer who trains many young surfer
to surf out in the World.
Kenta Hayashi and Kaori Mayaguchi are one of the surfers who were trained by him.

海部にはレジェンド、ベテラン、中堅、トッププロ、そしてアップカマーキッズ、
スキルのあるビジター等がひしめきあい、セッションを盛り上げてくれる。
互いがレスペクトしあい、自然なローテーションで守られている、
日本でも唯一といっていいノースショアに近いコミューンなのだ。
In Kaifu, there are legend, veteran, mid-class, top pro, upcoming kids and
skillful visitor makes the stage in Kaifu.
This community respect each other and protected by the mother nature.

海部の朝のこのムードあるグリーンカラーはまさに自然の芸術と言えよう。
ハードコアな波にも関わらず、何故か癒されるのはこの色合いからだと感じる。
This moody green color is like an art made out of a nature.
I guess this color is the fact that makes us relax even in a hardcore condition.

一介のローカルサーファーながら、海部で全てを育んできたスキルを持ち合わせている。

Jo Azuchi
先日の日本海セッションではマーと共にクレージーコンディションに挑んだジョー。
いよいよ明日、世界選手権に向けて旅立つ。
Jo surfed in one crazy situation with Mar at that Japan Sea.
And now, he’s going to the World Championship tomorrow.

そのユウジの兄、次男のケイジロウも今夜からサンタクルーズへ旅立つ。
今季ラストとも思える海部デイズをやりきっていってくれ〜
Yuji’s older brother, Keijiro is going to fly to Santa Cruz from tonight.
Go do all you can in this Kaifu before you leave~~~

このモーニングセッションをやりきってタクミは、
大阪で行われるビラボン祝勝会に戻っていった。
その後は日向戦、北海道トリップ、そしてHIC PRO へと多忙の身だ。
After this morning session, he went to the Billabong’s celebration party in Osaka.
After that, he has to move to Hyuga, Hokkaido and HIC PRO.
Takashi Tsukurimichi
海部レジェンドのツクちゃん、６３歳にしてなお海部の波を愛してやまない。
きついきついと言いながらもラインアップに身を置く姿勢にはレスペクト！！
Kaifu Legend, Tsuku-chan. He’s already 63 years old but never stops loving this Kaifu’s wave.
Impressive about when he keeps his self on the line-up even though he’s tired.
Masato Azuchi
ジョーのパパ／アズッチャンはSUPの名手でもあるが、
海部ポイントではSUPは禁止されている。
Jo’s father, Azuchi is a SUP surfer but
SUP is prohibited in Kaifu.
Akihiro Onishi
そのアズッチャンと共にプログラスファクトリーを経営しているオオニシ君。
海部エリアには彼等の様にサーフボードファクトリーで生計を立てている文化が根付いている。
Onishi, who runs Pro Glass Factory with Auzuchi.
Many surfers are able to live because of this factory’s income.
Masayoshi Akasakaya
今なお童心の様なマインドでサーフしまくっているアカヤン。
一日８時間近くもサーフできるエナジー／パワーはどこから来るのだろうか？
Akayan surfs with a pure mind.
He even surfs 8 hours a day. Where does his energy comes from?
Keiji Murata
かつてキッズ時代は海部エリアに住んでいた事もあるケイジ。
今は京都にあるバンクスサーフの仕事をやりながら、
日本海／太平洋の波にフォーカスしている。
Keiji used to live in Kaifu area when he was still a kid.
He’s focusing on Japan Sea & Pacific side waves while
he works in Banks Surf.
Kenta Hayashi
ビッグセットはスルーして、インサイドのたまったシリンダーを乗りまくっていたケンタ。
同じラインアップでも他のサーファーとはまた違う次元にいるようだ。
Kenta was avoiding the big sets and surfed in cute cylinder in the inside.
I guess he’s just in whole another new world from the others.
Yujiro Tsuji
このモーニングセッションをもって日向に向けてのロングドライブに入ったユウジロウ。
朝二から更にサイズアップしだし、ウォッシングアウトセットも来る様になり、
北東のタイフーンウインドも絡みだしハードなコンディションと化して来た。
Yujiro went for a long drive after this morning session.
Size started to rise from late morning and wash-out sets started to come in so
condition got harder.
昼間は北東の風でブロウアウトしてしまったが、やはり夕方になるとオフショアに戻り、
６〜８ftのビッグ海部へと変化していった〜〜
Wind started to blow out from lunch time but
change into offshore condition and size rose up to 6~8 ft~~
Kaito Kurokawa with Mama
朝一セッションの後日向へ向かう予定だったが、
波が良いため一旦学校に戻り、夕方再びビッグ海部でサーフしたカイト。
その後慌ただしく夜の６時過ぎにお母さんと共に九州目指して旅立った。
俺は主のいない民宿？黒川に引き続き逗留〜〜
Kaito was planning to go to Hyuga after the morning session but
waves were nice so stayed and enjoyed the evening session.
And left Shikoku on 6 pm to Kyushu.
But I’ll keep on staying at their house~~
Kiyoshi Kimura
牟岐ローカルチャージャーのキヨシ君。
熱いマインドをもって、この夕方のビッグコンディションに望んでいった。
飼い猫の名前は”リバー”、海で待ってる間やたら人なつっこいのねんのねん。
Kiyoshi from Mugi.
Came to surf with his hot passion & mind.
His cat’s name is River and this cat is one cute cat that hangs around with us while he’s surfing.
Kenta Hayashi
夕方セッションでケンタがとらえたウエイブオブザデイ。
セットのたまった波を奥のビハインドピークから合わせ、
ズッポリビッグバレルに包まれ、見事なカムアウトを見せ付けた。
見た目は良いコンディションに見えるが、
クローズアウトセットも来る激ハードなラインアップの中、
よくぞこのカインドの波を捉えた事の方が賞賛に値する。
Kenta caught this Wave of The Day on the evening session.
Took off from behind the peak and came out from this huge barrel.
Condition might look nice but it’s incredible that he caught this kind wave
in a nearly closed condition.
Kohei Chiba
夕闇迫るビッグ海部デイで最後の最後までラインアップにいたのが、
他でもないコウヘイさんだった。
海と人、波とサーファーという対峙をそのまんま実践している姿勢にはレスペクト。
コウヘイさんはこのままカジュアルにボトムオフしビッグバレルに吸い込まれていった。
Kohei-san was last surfer to stay in Kaifu.
I respect him about living along with the nature and waves.
And he was sucked into the barrel after his made a casual bottom off.
