パイプはノースが強すぎて一向に良くならず、
サンセット、ロックパイルは大爆発〜
ハレイワではHIOのファイナルデイがオンされ、
ビ〜〜グハレイワでジャパンメンズを始め、メンズ、シニアズ、マスターズ、
グランドマスターズクラスが一挙に行われた〜
Size jumped up to 8~12~
Swell was northerly so Pipe wasn’t good but
Sunset and Rock Pile is going crazy~~
HIO’s final day was held and
mens, seniors, masters and grand masters division was held in a
huge Haleiwa~~
Japan Mens Winner Kaito Kawamata
サイズあるハレイワをバックサイドを駆使して滑らかにまとめたカイトが優勝。
Kaito won on the Mens division with his backside tech.
2nd Kosei Sawamura
伸びのあるターン／アクションで優勝するかと思われたコウセイだったが、、、
Kosei could of win the game with his wide turn & action…
3rd Daiki Tanaka
セットの波に乗れず、中途半端な攻め方となったダイキ。
Daiki couldn’t catch the sets and wasn’t able to perform with his full ability.
Kai Matsumoto
優勝候補のカイだったが、ヒュージセットを喰らい、ワイプアウトも目立ち、
本来の実力を発揮せず、ファイナルでは４位という結果だった。（マツモト家、反省会）
Kai ate huge sets and wipe out too much so
lost as a 4th place.

Mens 2nd Keoni Ryota Yan
ファイナルではぶっちぎりのサーフィンを見せたが、バックアップが足りなく、
今年は２位に甘んじたケオヤン〜次は１月１７日からのサンセットプロだね〜
Keoni Yan performed perfectly on the Final but his back up wasn’t enough so
became 2nd place~~ Next field will be at Sunset on the 17th of January~~

Masters Winner Jack Johnson
マスターズクラスを制したのは、なんとあのジャックジョンソン（ミュージシャン）
クールでフロウなサーフィンがハレイワのビッグフェイスにマッチし、
素晴らしいパフォーマンスを見せてくれました。
自分的にも見ていて気持ちの良いサーフィン、まさに音楽と一緒だったね〜
Jack Johnson (musician) won the Masters class.
His cool flow skills went along well with the Haleiwa waves.

Senior Winner Tor Johnson
2nd Glenn Matsumoto
前半ドセットを喰らうなどで全くのノーライドだったがグレンだったが、
後半アウトとミドルでまとめ勝ったか？と思われたが、、準優勝だった。
Glenn couldn’t ride in the first half but
made some action in the mid and end part and became 2nd place.
3rd Shinji Imai
京都からエントリーのイマイシンジは健闘しファイナリスト／３位となった。
友人でもあるウォーターレスキューのクリスベイカーからのアドバイスを受け、
ファイナルに向かって行った。
Shinji Imai from Kyoto became 3rd place.

Grand Masters Winner Jack Sutherland
グランドマスターズはアベカワさんとジャックサザーランド二人のエントリーだったが、
ヨッチャンが二日前に帰国してしまったので、今日はジャックさん一人のファイナルだった
ジャックさん、ボーイズのためストラップを貸していただきありがとうございました〜
On the Grand Masters class, Abekawa-san and Jack Sutherland entered but
Yocchan went back to Japan 2 days ago so Jack was the only one in the Final.
Thanks for lending your strap to the boys~~

最後は物凄いハレイワでのファイナルデイだったハレイワインターナショナルオープン
途中からオンショアが来たが、サイズは終始６〜１０プラスのビッグハレイワだった〜
In the last part of the competition, size rose up to 6~10+ by the onshore~~
